Our History
MedAir AB is a medical engineering and development company, which specializes in developing and manufacturing optical sensors for gas analysis. Development and production is taking place in Hudiksvall, situated in Hälsingland, about 300 km north from Stockholm.
MedAir AB has developed SenseAir's infrared optical gas sensor to be used in medical monitoring instruments. MedAir both sells complete monitors through a distribution net all over the world, as well as OEM boards for manufacturers who want to integrate CO2 monitoring in their own products.
The first product of MedAir AB is a monitor (LifeSenseTM) that measures carbon dioxide in exhalation air (endtidal carbon dioxide = EtCO2 ), breathing frequency, pulse and saturation. The main field of application is at regular health care units, for transports within the hospital, ambulance transports, etc.
Today MedAir has a complete series of portable products for measuring capnography and pulse oximetry, and also a complete stand-alone series for the veterinary field. MedAir AB cooperates with the anesthesia ward at the Karolinska hospital in Stockholm. They actively take part in testing and evaluation of the products.
