The evolution of information technology has created an avenue for the development of educational tools that are dynamic, animated, interactive, up-to-date, and readily accessible. The power of this new educational paradigm is illustrated at this site, which provides a wealth of information about capnography that can be accessed by students and teachers throughout the world. This site has been designed with multimedia programs, digital images, and clip art, and employs real-time animations that convey the complex physical, physiological and clinical principles underlying capnography. Also presented are clinical applications of CO2 monitoring, tips on capnography usage, an encyclopedic collection of capnograms, 'ASA-standards of monitoring', and a capno-quiz to test one's understanding of the site’s information.
